“With little supervision, Jasteq’s consultants came in, proposed an innovative IoT technical solution, helped to raise finance for the project and, in cooperation with our internal team, produced a very successful outcome for our business.”
MARK PACKMAN, CEO, RISK TECHNOLOGY LTD.
We are technology consultants, designers & product development specialists, with a long track record of delivering great products and solutions to market.
We apply this experience across a broad range of consumer, industrial and defence market sectors.
We work flexibly to deliver value to our clients, carrying out full product and solution development projects and also working in-house with our clients when needed, helping companies to accelerate the development of their own internal team and technology capability.
Jose founded Jasteq in 2014, after 15 years providing technical leadership in technology startups, helping them to move from the concept phase to a market-leading position. He recognised the need to create IoT solutions faster and more efficiently – because so many companies with great ideas either fail in developing entire solutions from scratch, or don’t position themselves effectively to raise the required financial backing. Jose helps customers with system specification, requirements capture, project management, customer liaison, team recruitment and fund raising. He frequently takes on interim CTO roles in early stage startups.

Ian Pirie, MIET, is an experienced international manager who helps companies expand their business with new electronic and software products by helping with the funding, market evaluation and start up project execution. He started and managed the GPS telematics operation within QinetiQ, Europe’s largest Research and Development company, winning the IET Innovation award. Earlier he worked in France with Schlumberger-Sema (now Atos Origin) as International Programmes Director.
We have many years’ experience developing GPS location-based systems of all kinds – navigation for every kind of vehicle, track and trace, PAYD insurance, numerous telematics solutions locating cars, trucks and trailers, and full end-to-end systems to keep lone workers and the vulnerable elderly safe.
Almost all of these products include a range of IMUs and wireless technologies and many of them require extremely efficient power management in order to work autonomously for days, weeks or many months.
Several of our recent projects have required a high level of expertise in the use of inertial and optical sensors, including complex computer vision technology.
We have a wealth of experience in wearables, biosensors, digital health and interconnected devices of all kinds – the Internet of Things.
We would be delighted to share our experience and explore how we could help you to achieve great things from your next project.
We won’t be able to show everything though – we are working on some very exciting projects, that unfortunately we can’t yet reveal!
– Future drones fully loaded with the latest computer vision technology to autonomously perform complex manoeuvres both indoors and outdoors.
– A ground-breaking exercise machine that uses mobile technology and complex motor control algorithms to provide a next generation user experience for professional and non-professional users.
– An ingenious robotic solution to automate the analysis of drinking water, which increases the quality of results and removes human errors.
– Innovations with electronics in kitchen appliances, working at the heart of a very high volume global brand.
