Jose founded Jasteq in 2014, after 15 years providing technical leadership in technology startups, helping them to move from the concept phase to a market-leading position. He recognised the need to create IoT solutions faster and more efficiently – because so many companies with great ideas either fail in developing entire solutions from scratch, or don’t position themselves effectively to raise the required financial backing. Jose helps customers with system specification, requirements capture, project management, customer liaison, team recruitment and fund raising. He frequently takes on interim CTO roles in early stage startups.

Zsolt leads a team carrying out full electronics design, embedded software development, product prototyping, validation and test services through to production. He has valuable experience in digital health, and very low power GPS-enabled wearables. He has a great track record of innovation in solving technical problems. He and his team also develop application level software across a range of real time operating systems. Zsolt holds interim technical management roles with several of our clients.

Andy is an experienced Web Application Solution Architect with over a decade specialising in scalable enterprise level web application design, development and deployment for a wide variety of clients and industries. His extensive experience with anything web-related allows him to understand both functional and technical requirements, advise on technical architecture and solutions, and successfully manage a multi-skilled team. Working with his team of experienced engineers in mobile application and back-end development, he is able to design, build and deploy a high quality solution to meet any UI, mobile, back-end, database or infrastructure requirement.

Mark has a strong background in industrial design, technical project management and in product management, with excellent experience developing high volume consumer electronics products for companies including Psion and TomTom. He champions design thinking in Jasteq, and leads our industrial design and mechanical design teams. He also carries out interim roles for our clients as product manager or project manager, using his broad experience to help create brilliant products.

Phil is a mechanical engineer by training, with over 25 years’ experience in technology and telecommunications gained in senior sales, operational management, business strategy, compliance and test services, and project management roles. He has worked in the electronics design industry for the past 6 years, leading product development projects under highly regulated standards including; ISO13485, IEC60601, AS9000 and TS16949.

Ian Pirie, MIET, is an experienced international manager who helps companies expand their business with new electronic and software products by helping with the funding, market evaluation and start up project execution. He started and managed the GPS telematics operation within QinetiQ, Europe’s largest Research and Development company, winning the IET Innovation award. Earlier he worked in France with Schlumberger-Sema (now Atos Origin) as International Programmes Director.
